(Video) Chris Brown Humbled By Public Backlash, Admits Struggle Not Over
Chris Brown reached one of his long term goals this year by taking home a Grammy Award, but he admits the struggle to regain public acceptance or approval is not over.
In a candid confession on MTV's new series "This Is How I Made It," Brown admits that public backlash following the assault of Rihanna "humbled" him and has also made him motivated to get people back in his corner.
"Firsthand to win a Grammy award, it was just the most, like that bliss feeling again. I appreciate it so much to this day; I have it on a mantle and the light on it," Brown told MTV before admitting "Having to get personal opinion back and having to gain personal success back, you know, it’s not all the way back you know. But it’s one of my most humbling experiences."
Despite his troubled past, Brown hopes his story can inspire others.
"My story or my life or my legacy can hopefully show them that once you’re down, that don’t just mean you’re down forever. You never let up," said Brown.
