The singer’s lawyer recently told the Los Angeles Times that LAPD did not find a gun while searching Brown’s home during the investigation. Authorities obtained a warrant to search the Tarzana, California house and came up with nothing, according to attorney Mark Geragos. He also said the jewelry described by Curran was never found either.
Gerogos touted the victory and stood on his statement made in a tweet earlier this week where he said that the entire event was fabricated. “It has become apparent that the allegations are not just false but fabricated,” he said. Brown was released from prison this week after posting $250,000 bail and will stand trial on Sept. 20. The incident led to a standoff with SWAT, and he is being charged with assault with a deadly weapon. A text allegedly sent by Curran that alluded to her setting Brown up was leaked this week and further adds to the narrative that the attack was fabricated. However, she is standing by her story.
