Bronx stand up, In celebration of his 36th birthday , Fred The Godson’s legacy lives on, on his first posthumous project, Ascension.

Curated by the late rapper’s brother Russ, Ascension includes nine unreleased tracks from Gordo Frederico including “Garcias (Ascension)”, “Ali”, “Aretha”, “I Shot Ya, Pt. II”, “One Of These Days”, and more.

In his honor, a ceremony was held in the Bronx by family and friends where they officially named Leggett Avenue “Frederick “Fred The Godson” Thomas Avenue”.

Fred The Godson passed away last April due to complications of COVID-19. He was 35.
