Jay Z has been on radar lately. After being criticized for his collaboration with Barneys following several alleged racial profiling incidents andbeing investigated by the MLB for gifting Roc Nations Sports signee Robinson Cano with a pricey watch, Hov is now facing another hurdle.
According to the New York Daily News, a Manhattan record label wants to take Shawn Carter to court over a sample he used on his Rihanna and Kanye West-assisted single "Run This Town."
TufAmerica Inc. is suing Jay for copyright infringement for his alleged use of the 1969 funk single "Hook & Sling" by Eddie Bo and producer Al Scramuzza. The label claims they own exclusive rights to the 1960s jam.
