Erykah Badu Cast in Black Cowboy Film 'They Die By Dawn' 

Director Jeymes Samuel has cast Erykah Badu in the outlaw cowboy film 'They Die By Dawn.' The "Window Seat" hitmaker joins a majority African American cast of actors and actresses include Idris Elba, Rosario Dawson, Michael Kenneth Williams, Bokeem Woodbine, Isiah Washigton, Clifton Powell among others.

Set in Langston, Oklahoma, Badu will play a supporting role as Stagecoach Mary. Though known for her soulful music, the soul songstress has landed roles in House of D, The Cider House Rules and Blues Brother 2000.

"They Die By Dawn" is currently in post-production and no release date has been set.
