The Golden State Warriors are set to play against the Cleveland Cavaliers on Monday, but they will be doing so without Draymond Green who has been suspended. Green was given a Flagrant Foul 1, which was due to "unnecessary contact with a retaliatory swipe" to the groin region of LeBron James in the fourth quarter of Game 4 in the Finals. According to the Executive Vice President of Basketball Operations -- Kiki Vandeweghe, "Draymond Green's actions in Game 4 don't merit a suspension as a standalone act, the number of flagrant points he has earned triggers a suspension for Game 5."

LeBron James was given a technical foul as well for his part in the Game 4 scuffle with Green. Along with James getting a technical foul, Cavs head coach Tyronn Lue was fined $25,000 for making comments about NBA referees, saying “He never gets calls. I mean, he attacks. He’s one of the most — outside of Russell Westbrook, he’s one of the guys that attacks the paint every single play. And he doesn’t get a fair whistle all the time because of his strength and because of his power and guys bounce off of him. But those are still fouls and we weren’t able to get them. But we’ve got to play through officiating.”

The always outspoken Matt Barnes of the Memphis Grizzles also took to twitter to give his two cents on the suspension:

"Arguably the most important player on the team Drymond Green won't be able to celebrate with his team?? Smfh that's a joke!"

"Lebron knows god damn well he didn't need to step over that man like that! Funny how the NBA #PicksAndChooses #Bullsh!t"

The Warriors and Cavs play Game 5 on Monday, June 13.
