COPS TV SHOW CANCELLED AFTER 30 YEARS [SHOW ACCUSED OF VILIFYING BL...
Welcome To "Wane Enterprises Dot Com" the number one source for World news, Hip-Hop news, Entertainment news and more.
According to reports, the longstanding television program Cops is ending its 32-season run amid nationwide condemnation of law enforcement. The Hollywood Reporter says the show was pulled after the unrest following George Floyd's murder at the hands (or knee rather) of Minneapolis police.
Cops currently air on WGN America but the contract ends in June with all indications pointing toward the cable company not renewing. The ViacomCBS-owned streaming service Pluto TV also airs the show but it is unclear whether the show will be renewed after that contract expires.
The Hollywood Reporter also reports that A&E will no longer air its Live PD which has a similar conceit to Cops. A source reportedly told THR that it is "unlikely" that the show will occupy its usual weekend time slots. Discovery ID's show Body Cam similar to the two aforementioned programs will also be shelved for the "foreseeable" future.
