Our latest  Feature Artist Benny Marz is an aspiring rap artist, hailing from South Jersey. He started to explore his talent when he was 9 years old, creating different rhymes and lyrics using music from his favorite artists and biggest influences, including Tupac, Biggie Smalls, Eazy-E and Meek Mill. Around 18 years old, he started getting serious about his work. After his friend Jason, also an aspiring rap artist, passed away in a horrific car crash, he was really motivated to spread the positive energy that Jason showed him and to perform all in Jason’s honor. For Benny Marz rapping isn’t just a hobby, it’s a release.

His goal is to paint a picture for his listeners and fans by sharing his story about growing up, because life isn’t always easy in the suburbs. Benny Marz is currently in school, studying to be a psychologist. In the meantime, he plays football and is currently working on his first mix tape, titled Humble and Hungry. This title speaks to everything he believes in as a rapper: he wants to make it big, travelling and touring all over the world, but will never forget how he started and where he came from.
