5 Hour Energy Drink Linked To Deaths..

5-Hour Energy Drink may be easier than coffee, but it may also be deadlier. The New York Times reports that the Food and Drug Administration has linked the energy shot to 13 deaths over the last four years.

This is the second big blow against energy drinks in as many months. Last month, the FDA said that they had linked Monster Energy drink to five deaths. But the hits keep coming: the FDA revealed that 5-Hour Energy has been mentioned in 90 FDA filings, potentially linking the drink to heart attacks, convulsions, and a spontaneous abortion.

The Times says 5-Hour Energy contains 215 milligrams of caffeine - about twice as much as a cup of coffee, and in a tiny 2-ounce serving. Drinking two is like pounding four cups of coffee at once!
