If you are hoping to do a three-hundred pound squat before your fourth week is over, you are only setting yourself up for disappointment and possibly an injury! Keep your goals modest. Once you have figured out your initial limitations, work on improving them just a little with each workout. Sometimes you might even surprise yourself and reach your short-term goals faster than you thought possible. When this happens, it can excite and encourage you so that you can't wait to work out again.Try learning your limits, but don't stop exercising until you use everything at your disposal. When doing your sets, keep going until you literally cannot go any further. If needed, reduce the time you spend on your sets when you get tired.
