For those of you who were sad because of the non-protected transition from the Galaxy S5 to the Galaxy S7 LCD screen digitizer then your hopes may be revitalized. The new Samsung Galaxy S7 has come back with an IP-rating higher than both of its predecessors. The IP-68 rating of this phone means that it can stand depths of water more than one meter, however, the upper rating is unclear. Designated immersion tests usually only check within a three-meter depth of water. Along with this rating, you get the dust protection that was adored by many of the Galaxy S5 users.
For all you tech-savvy gurus out there, here’s the big determining factor in a bunch of areas as to whether you will want to switch over. First off, taking a look at the display there is practically no difference that can be told by the blind eye because there is a 1 PPI (Pixel Per Inch) difference between the two devices (Galaxy S6: 577 PPI versus Galaxy S5: 576 PPI). The screen resolution itself is completely identical (1440 PX X 2560 PX). The screens both maintain the Corning Gorilla Glass 4 and are scratch-resistant, and are very durable.
