How would you feel if you received a better version of the “Christmas stones” that you had as a kid? Ornaments like the one above that are truly custom-made. The kind of ornaments that express the love and care you put into them, only to have them enjoyed by others.
If you are as touched as I was when you open your display, then ask yourself how you can turn these into a gift. Even better, create a treasure trove of them by gifting numerous small holiday ornaments to loved ones. Be the person who makes someone’s holiday season extra special.
Here’s how we created our personalized ornaments:
How to make them custom-made:
The kids liked it so much that this holiday season, they made me another set of six ornaments to give to them as a Christmas present. Now I have eight ornaments.
Even creating these ornaments is a lot of fun. Choose one style of art for your ornament, like birds, bubbles, heart shapes, or squiggles. Then, under the design/print tab of your computer preferred program, give the ornaments a title and a description.
Then, within the “go” tab, choose the “send a picture” option from the dropdown menu. Or, from your mobile phone, take a picture by clicking the microphone icon, and then spit the image out. If you like, add a few comments to let people know the inspiration behind these ornaments. You can ask them if they like the birds, the bubbles, or the squiggles. Challenge them to a game of “Hide and seek” to see who can hide the most of the holiday ornaments.
Now, free and easy options are listed: cleaning, gluing, decorating, and printing. These are all very easy to do.
The kids are now adults and enjoy using different ads for various products, and we now begin to see ads for ornaments in craft stores, coffee shops, web sites, etc. They had some materials for making them while we were shopping for holiday gifts. We hope by producing these ornaments, we can continue to show our children and grand-kids the skill and creativity they possess.
