Spike lee verse's Tyler Perry... two black film makers with very different styles. To those who keep a pulse on the film industry it is known that there is a little feud brewing between these two film makers, and the heart of the dispute lies in content... Spike lee once again takes shoots at Tyler Perry in a recent interview. Looks like creative beef does not only apply to rappers... Watch The video below.

I can understand what Spike Lee is saying. On the other hand, sometimes you want to laugh a little, and yes we do need the films that make us wake up and recognize what is going on around us. Black people as a whole have turned their heads to what is going on around them, because they no longer want to get involved. I agree some of that stuff that Tyler puts out is really stupid and embarrassing. We need to laugh a little, but don't forget what is happening to us in this society.

OMG Spike.. Tyler does his thing and you do yours. DAMN shame to hate on a brotha or even to dictate when he should and shouldn't produce or create... You keep doing your thing and allow Tyler Perry to evolve into whatever! I have never been disappointed in Tyler Perry's movies never watched his play's so I can't comment..
Keep Up the GREAT, EXCELLENT, AWESOME, Stupendous, WONDERFUL,Creative work that you have ben TYLER your audience loves you..

I kind of like the fueding as long as it doesnt get nasty, disrespectful. I respect Spike. Dont always agree. I respect Tyler and again dont always agree. I'm a bonafied churchboy and I like checks and balances. I'm loving the success that these guys are having and I hope it continues as long as we aint HATIN'.

I work in the industry...and can understand what Spike Lee is saying. We tend to forget conveniently about our life, our history and our possibilities for life. Every day I see the plight of being a Black person. I guess that's why I like some of Tyler Perry's movies, too...I've got to laugh at some of the craziness that is purely our lives. I feel we need both brothers doing what they do best. Can't we all get along?

First of all Spike, It's a movie.... That is how he makes his money. There is nothing wrong with that. You are criticizing him, but look in the mirror. What kind of example are you setting by speaking negatively about another black man??? What we need to criticize is these half naked women in these videos, or these rappers and the words they use to describe women. Tyler is doing his thing. If you want to make a difference, step your game up, and join forces with Tyler. If nothing else, the man is providing jobs for his people. Are you???

His movies and plays perhaps make others reflect on their own-lives and maybe make some positive changes. We must stop airing our dirty laundry in public spaces when we have a disagreement. The disagreement should be held with the black family in a private forum. with the public discourse on family issues!

Tyler Perry creations "do not give any love" to anyone? Spike, your right, Tyler Perry teaches people to love themselves first, then they can move on and help others. There is a reason why they are making millions as you say Spike.. Folks forgot to take care of themselves. I actually feel really sorry for Spike, clearly he has never seen a Tyler Perry movie or play. Maybe Spike is so wrapped up in himself right now he really can't relate to a middle class working person with life problems and swerves in relationships. When his time comes, I hope he will forgive what he says in this and actually opens his mind.
